An action in which the South African government tortures their civilians by causing a black out on a daily bases varying from 1-5 hours. There are varies stages to load shedding if you have stage one you are very very lucky

Sledging

Sledging or "Mental Disintergration" as it is also known is the tactic of talking to players on the opposition side (particularily batsmen, as taking on a whole team in the field is never a good idea) with the objective of destroying either their concentration or their confidence/self esteem. Sledging is practised in a large way by the Australian Cricket Team, but most International teams partake in sledging. Sledging can be merely an opposition player talking constantly to the batsman, but has mostly become known as players swearing and questioning their lineage.

Sledging with added physical abuse. However, with shedding the objective is not so much to put the victim off his stroke, but rather to reduce them to a submissive, gibbering wreck.

Shedding

Woodshedding, a musicians term for practicing. Harkens back to idyllic pastoral time when one might take their Harpsichord or Udu out to the lean to in the back yard and practice their fugues or minuets till their fingers bled, while poultry and other livestock are slaughtered by the hired hands.

Zippy started out with a bit of a tin ear, but after months of shedding on his ukelele, he could hold the attention for almost 63 seconds.
