Semi Sci-Fi. A work that has some sci-fi elements but not too many. Generally works from a time in the future not so far away that most people could imagine living in such a society but most of the people living today will be dead by the time such future becomes a reality.

Semi finals

A contest/event where a bunch of guys get together to compare the length and girth of their semi's. The winner receives respect, as well as the envy of others present at the event.

Paul : "Dude, the semi finals are being held at Jeff's mom's house this month."
Josh : "Sweet, I'll bring some Red Bull, a tape measure, and some partial nudity shots of Sigourney Weaver!"

To break part of a cigarette butt to ensure maximum tobacco consumption. It was originally done to prevent smoking in contact with the butt that somebody else already placed their lips upon.

I really needed a pack of cigarettes since I was so stressed out so I said fuck and I semi-filtered that single Newport.
