1)whilst in the middle of a funny joke a burp takes you off course.
2)whilst in serious conversation you cough and end up spitting in the face of your mate.
3)whilst in mid-excreetion, a pocket of air channels out your backside causing splutter on the rim

stumble-splutter

Where you make a loud burbling sound with your lips as you trip and go sprawling; this can help you to better focus your mind to hopefully not get hurt or damage anything in your fall, plus it will not overly alarm others in your general vicinity.

Petite slight-figured cutie: I totally love my new heart-throb like you wouldn't imagine; I just get concerned whenever we try to go for walks together across uneven ground like a lumpy grass-field, since he is not very sure-footed or steady-balanced in these terrains, plus he's much taller and bulkier than I am, and so I cannot safely/effectively try to catch him if he starts to topple over. He's usually able to land without injury if he has plenty of space to flail his arms and break his fall on the way down, though; I have therefore learned to just jump back out of the way whenever he makes a stumble-splutter, and so usually he merely thuds heavily without incident, and then simply clambers back up and takes my hand again to stroll on as if nothing happened.

puffed-cheeks splutter

What a parent or other older relative of an "innocent child" does when said uninhibited youngster blurts out a clever "in yer face" remark/response that said grownup and other observers find shockingly amusing.

It's always amusing when someone performs an involuntary puffed-cheeks splutter, but it is even more hilarious if the person happens to be taking a drink of water o r other liquid at the time, resulting in an enormous :"geyser" followed by a long bout of hacky coughing.

Snot Splatter

This happens when you have a severe cold or nasal infection. Your last tissue has disintegrated, your handkerchief is a congealed lump, which should be incinerated to avoid it becoming a hazard to public health, and your nose is blocking up. There is nothing for it but to blow your nose the old-fashioned way. This consists in closing each nostril in turn, with a finger, and snorting vigorously out through the other. The product of this exercise is a snot splatter. Although snot may be a misnomer as the product is usually a mixture of snot, pus and airborne detritus that makes the faecal emissions of a diseased crow’s arse seem positively pleasant in comparison.
It can also be used as a noun to describe the sort of person whose presence makes people instinctively shrink away from them, leave the room as quickly as possible to go through a complete biological decontamination routine.

I snorted out a really noxious snot splatter yesterday; I watched it for a bit to see if it moved, I think it did.
