Royaldale
Refers to the area in the 93308 zip code, west of the 99 and west of Oildale. "Royaldale" is a play on the name "Oildale," the name of a unincorporated community located north of Bakersfield California, known for it's blue-collar foundation, oil industry (duh), strong community pride, heavy drug use, crime, and overall garbage reputation both locally and across California. When one refers to Royaldale, they refer to the middle to upper middle class area west of Oildale known for recent suburban development and more subtlety racist populous. Both names are unified under the O8'er designation. Royaldale otherwise is like any other suburban development, except it's commonly contrasted with its older and poorer siblings west of the 99 freeway.
