quoits 

A game similar but distinctly unique from modern horseshoes. Quoits is played with a rubber or metal ring-shaped object called a quoit rather than a U shaped horse shoe.

Specific rules for the game vary from place to place, as does the pronunciation of it's name. In central New Jersey, we play Trenton Quoits (Trent-n Kwates).

Bill: "Tim's having a BBQ this weekend."

Ted: "We gonna play quoits?"

Bill: "Yeah man, his pit is clay and everything!"

Cock quoits 

A game played at New Years Eve in Melbourne when Corona Virus lockdown is reintroduced. The usual fireworks are cancelled so glow stick bracelets are skillfully tossed onto cock of the quoitee. In the event of deflation of the quoitee the quoit tosser is responsible for the level of hardness of the game. If cock becomes flaccid points are relinquished.

Anthony came down from Albury to see the fireworks in Melbourne but they were cancelled. A game of Cock Quoits was the only solution to see see out 2020.

call it quits 

1) When someone was previously doing something but decided to stop it. It could be when someone quits a job, sports team, personal goal, a project, a relationship, etc.

2) referring to the rumor that Mikey Way (My Chemical Romance) "broke up" with Pete Wentz (Fall Out Boy). This supposedly happened during the 2005 Warped Tour, also known as the summer of like to fans. Infinity On High was released by FOB in 2007 with the song Bang The Doldrums, among the many tracks that released with the album. Petekey stans suspect that this bop, among many others, is about the mychem bassist. They say that Pete got emo about the breakup and proceeded to write the bop, as he would usually do with all of his relationships. The term "Call it quits" is mentioned directly in the song just before the first chorus.
