Quiet Car 

A term coined to describe a long car ride in which teenagers or grown adults sit in silence. Often times, the music is turned up. Usually due to stress and irritation or simply not wanting to talk. Seldom times, it can be called when one is driving a "shitbox" and needs to figure out if "that sound" is coming from their car. Also similar to when parents call an "all quiet" car ride after their children bug them. Only driver and shotgun seats may call a "quiet car."

Emily and Kristy became bored with their friends conversations going on in the back seats. Therefore, Emily called a "quiet car time" as a polite excuse to turn the music up.

A mechanically inclined female who knows a lot about how cars work, but doesn't want to offend or piss-off her boyfriend who shows zero aptitude for automobiles and needs a Garmin to find his way out of a wet paper bag.

Stacey really wants to swap mechanic stories with gear-head, Mike, but she's bein' "car quiet" since her boyfriend is standing right there.

Josie's boyfriend is trying to do her a favor by taking her car to Jiffy Lube for her...But, she is so not going to let those hosers go anywhere near her car with Penzoil that she is unable to be "car quiet" about it.

Quiet Cartemplation

The anticipation of getting onto a Subway, Metro or El car that is free of loud, foul-mouthed smelly-armed teens, perky little just out of college, fresh into the work-force kids who use like after every word and cell phone users, i.e. Bluetool or cell phone fuck, talking about nothing adults want to hear after a hard day of work.

Quiet cartemplation is non-existant in D.C. on Fridays after 4:00PM.

Get out your iPod as there will be no quiet cartemplation today.

In a moment of quiet cartemplation, I got caught in some ghetto chick's cell loop.

Can you please, "like", shut the PHUCK up? I don't want to hear your mouth, I'm looking for a little quiet cartemplation here!

Quiet Carpentry 

Any facet of Home improvements that are painstakingly attempted before dawn. Indictive of a man tweaking whose up all night .Carpentry done with keeping the noise down as a priority because everyone else is sleeping. A tweaker who has a knack for doing carpentry in his home between the hours of 12 am and 7 am , thus resulting in scattered small jobs with at best sub par results.

Since the pandemic the 24 hour hardware store in Manhattan has been closed overnight . What a drag for my beloved Quiet Carpentry.
