pundustry

The pundit industry.

Pundustry was coined by Gene Weingarten in his article 'Cruel and Usual Punishment' on 23 March 2008 for washingtonpost.com.
As Weingarten said:

Print journalism is famously dying; everyone knows it. Reports of its imminent demise are everywhere, and serious reservations exist as to whether the potentates of ink can stay financially afloat by converting to an all-pixel format. If they cannot, it will be bad news for the pundit industry, or pundustry. (This is a word I just coined. As I write this, "pundustry" returned no Google hits. By next month it will generate hundreds. The pundustry will see to it.)

pendustan

A group or cluster of people (may also be a place) who support a washed out goat pretender Pendu also known as Penaldo or Pen Merchant. A typical Pendustan complains about everything from media to FIFA to other teammates sometimes even the eternal GOAT, Lionel Messi. One never knows or understands what Pendustans are saying. Their reasoning capacity is generally equivalent to that of a four year old. They can get very aggressive, provocative and vulgar due to their limited logic and reasoning capabilities. They should therefore be approached with extreme caution during debates. They often lose sight of the debate and start targeting the opponent personally. They are also generally angry and highly confrontations with little regard for other peoples feelings. Often they hide behind fake social media profiles as they are scared to air their views directly.
Innocent Fan 1: Messi really dazzled during the World Cup.

Pendustan : brbbrbbr …Pendu was goat. He has achieved a lot . He has 200 million. You don’t have it. You are jealous. You have no right to support anyone else. Only my views are important…khhh KH brbr fff bb siuuu!

West Midlands slang word for rockers, bikers, greasers etc. In the late 1980s it was used by the UK music press to refer to a specific scene centered around the bands Pop Will Eat Itself and Crazyhead. The term never found favour with readers of 'the inkies' (Sounds, Melody Maker and the still extant NME) and was soon dropped. Now often used in predominantly working-class areas of the midlands and the north to mean someone who listens to rock-derived music and/or dresses in a manner that suggests they affiliate themselves with rock music of some kind.
