An english dialect spoken in the British carribean by people of African descent.

Its mostly spoken in Jamaica and by reggae artists like sean paul, elephant man, etc.

i didn't understand anything your parents were saying!
Thats because they're from Jamaica and we speak a broke english called patwa.

Patagucci 

Based on the brand Patagonia, a word used to describe their (arguably) overpriced clothing brand that is meant for outdoor activities, and is very useful and effective for such. Although many people still wear it for camping, hiking, and such, it has been largely taken over by people in Finance/Medicine/Computer Science who have recently landed high-paying jobs. Many companies also provide their jackets/vests or other clothing with their logos to their employees. Due to this, it has become a known unwritten uniform to many company's employees.

Example 1:

Man, I just got a bag of stuff for landing a job at (insert big finance firm/hospital/Tech Company)! Hmm, I got a folder with some brochures, some crappy pens, a yeti mug with the company logo on it, and a Patagucci vest. Time to wear it 24/7, at work or in public!

pataphor 

An extended metaphor that creates its own context.

Created by Paul Avion and based on Alfred Jarry's science of 'pataphysics (the science of that which extends beyond metaphysics), a pataphor attempts to create a figure of speech that exists as far from metaphor as metaphor exists from non-figurative language.

Also, when an idea seems to take on a life of its own.

An assumption based on an assumption.

2 degrees of separation from reality.

"When the new teacher snubbed me, I thought it was because I failed the test.

When I learned the teacher hadn't seen me, I realized I had been thinking in pataphor, creating an assumption based on an assumption."

"That's all in your mind, fool; strictly pataphor."
