On the Phone

When someone is in enough pain from any non-life threatening ailment, where they can't sit comfortably in a chair. They keep wiggling and slurking...eventually settling in a position with a head tilted to the side...as if they are on the phone...
I pulled up a chair so my wife would play me in Madden 95(All-Madden vs. Jets). I looked-over at her at halftime and saw that due to her increasing abdominal pain, she was on the phone, so we had to quit.

When somebody brags about their success and wealth on social media.

The phrase was first coined by Filthy Frank in the song "Hood Rich" in the line "money on the phone, but I'm broke", showing that while he talks big game online, in reality he has no money.
Travis: Ayo you see Chad braggin about how much he pulls in on Twitter?
Brad: Yeah. Kid has money on the phone, but he's broke.

call the fish on the phone

A fishing technique where an old hand crank telephone has it's wires cut and in the water. When the fisherman turns the crank, the wires electrify the water and makes the fish rise to the surface. Use of this technique is highly illegal and extremely dangerous.
My friend: Hey boss the fish ain't biting.
Me: Looks like we're gonna have to call the fish on the phone!
My friend: What is that?
Me: I'm gonna put these cables in the water and turn the crank.

Moments later

My friend: What the f*ck? The fish are rising!
Me: All you have to do now is scoop them up with a net!
More from Urban Dictionary
West Midlands slang word for rockers, bikers, greasers etc. In the late 1980s it was used by the UK music press to refer to a specific scene centered around the bands Pop Will Eat Itself and Crazyhead. The term never found favour with readers of 'the inkies' (Sounds, Melody Maker and the still extant NME) and was soon dropped. Now often used in predominantly working-class areas of the midlands and the north to mean someone who listens to rock-derived music and/or dresses in a manner that suggests they affiliate themselves with rock music of some kind.
Some grebo passed with Sabbath playing on his stereo.
The Poppies are at no. 17? God, a grebo band in the charts!
They're playing nu-metal now, bloody grebos!
