Nokomite 

One who is originally from, or currently resides in or near the town of Nokomis, Florida.

More specifically, this term most often refers to those individuals who live in the poverty stricken area of Nokomis and belong to the socio-economic group that many people would refer to as White Trash.

Nokomites generally have many of the following characteristics:

-Unemployeed,

-Illiterate,
-Has a Lengthy Criminal Record,

-Has a Suspended Drivers License,

-Rarely If Ever Wears Shoes,

-Is Missing at least 2 Teeth,

-History of Drug or Alcohol abuse, -Homeless or Lives in a Trailer,

-High School Dropout,

-Middle School Dropout,
-Knows the Bail Bondsmans

-Or Has Stolen 3 or more Bicycles.

When I woke up in a trailer on Sierra St. and was told that a toothless meth-head with no shoes just stole my bicycle, I realized that I had just gotten robbed by a Nokomite.
