Get the moojie mug.October 22, 1990 the band Mookie Blaylock, named after an NBA point guard, played their first official show at the Off Ramp Cafe in Seattle. The band was later renamed Pearl Jam. Jeff Ament Bassist was a huge Mookie fan having watched him play basketball at Oklahoma, and thought his name was superunique. Mookie was cool about it too and didn't sue.
