agile methodology

No one has a clue what this means. Companies use the term to make themselves look organized and modern, employees use it because companies do. Many companies who claim to use agile actually use the waterfall approach and do not know the difference.
Interviewer asked, "Have you ever used the agile methodology?"
Job candidate replied, "Yes of course."
Interviewer responds, "Good! I think I have all I need."

-------------10 minutes later------------------------
Interviewer speaking to co-worker, "He actually knows what agile methodology is! We need to hire him!"
co-worker responded, "What the fuck is agile?"
"I don't have a fucking clue so we need this guy"

scrum methodology

An agile methodology primarily used for software application development related projects where you talk more about what you are going to do and spend less time actually doing it.
"Do we really need to have these update meetings every 2 hours? You want to know what I did for the past two hours, I was in other meetings, just like the two hours prior. I haven't wrote jack shit for code, but I am really getting sick of hearing Brenda say, 'Can you see my screen now?'"
Project manager responds, "We practice Scrum methodology here. If you don't like it go to Diane's team, they use Crystal Methods"
Stoned application developer responds, "Crystal Meth? Where is Diane's team?"

Nicastro Methodology Consideration

* The Nicastro Methodology (named for a small town in the province of Catanzaro, in the Calabria region of southern Italy) is the methodology whereby one does not read any of the descriptions/instructions in the email itself, but forges right ahead into whatever action is required (in this case going to the link). It is usually followed by follow-up texts to the author asking 3 to 4 questions - all of which are answered in the original e-mail. Consideration is given to this methodology by acknowledging that it is going to happen anyway and posting the link first and foremost in the email. The virtue of reading this far is indicative that you do not subscribe to this methodology.
I used the Nicastro Methodology Consideration and put the link right in the first line of my email.

mythodology

The method by which a task (usually of a complex / statistical nature) is carried out (such as the design of a Market Research Survey) and which is not totally comprehensible to the user of this word. It may be that the user does not believe such a method to be totally correct / appropriate; hence the tendency to refer to such a method as being of little more significance than that of a "myth".
The mythodology of the analysis has not been fully decided yet.

methodological naturalism

The philosophy that natural phenomena should be explained with naturalistic explanations when doing science.

In contrast with metaphysical naturalism, it does not commit one to ruling out the existence of the supernatural.
Science without methodological naturalism would accept astrology as a field of science.

Methodologize

Verb form of the noun "methodology." Methodology is defined as:

1. a set or system of methods, principles, and rules for regulating a given discipline, as in the arts or sciences.

2. Philosophy. a. the underlying principles and rules of organization of a philosophical system or inquiry procedure.

b. the study of the principles underlying the organization of the various sciences and the conduct of scientific inquiry.

3. Education. a branch of pedagogics dealing with analysis and evaluation of subjects to be taught and of the methods of teaching them.

To methodologize is to perform any of the above definitions.
For this analysis, I will methodologize Toni Morrison's The Bluest Eye using cultural and anti-racist feminist criticism.
