The term for London, the capital of england, used by a french newspaper in reference to its radical islamist community. (use has become much more mainstream since the 7th and 21st july attacks)

London is now commonly referred to as "Londonistan" - a word used several times in different papers.

Londoner

Someone who was born and raised in the English capital city that is London. More than not, often associated with people hailing from more central and well known areas such as Wesminster, it does often include people from the West, East, North and South suburbs though.

If you are a cockney, you are a Londoner, but if you are a Londoner, you do not have to be a cockney.

Person 1: "Are you a Londoner?"

Person 2: "I live in Ealing, so yeah I am. Are you?"

Person 1: "I live on the outskirts, techinally in Hertfordshire but I would say I'm a Londoner."

Person 2: "No. No you're not."

Rule of New Londons

When an aquaintance has a serving of delicious New Londons fries, this law can be utilized. The Moocher must first declare that he/she is taking some fries under the Rule of New Londons. The owner of the fries has no choice but to comply, for they know that they have mooched in the past and will mooch in the future.

"Dude, you're so envious, I have fries and you don't!"
"I hereby enact the Rule of New Londons. Fork some over."
"Dammit dude, fine, here ya go..."
