Linebeck is incredibly arrogant and greedy; he used to have a romance with the pirate Jolene, who he indirectly dumped after stealing her treasure and running away. His gravestone can be found in the following game, Spirit Tracks, as well as his grandson, Linebeck III who also possesses the trademark Linebeck greed, cowardice and incredibly sexy mustache.
