Hoot'n'hollers

A rural area with very hilly topography, particularly karst topography.

From 'hoot', as in the call of an owl, and 'holler', vernacular for 'hollow', as in a small valley surrounded by hills.

Term originated in the interior low plateaus region of the United States.

Steve grew up in the hoot'n'hollers of northern Kentucky.

Name of elite group of peeps which was originated and is currently seen in the Shire, north side of Chicago. Created by a Sinise Sider who shall remain anonymous.

Stranger #1: Yo, isn't that Hollernation, the cool group from the Shire coming down the street. All they like to do is drink and yell "Holler." They rock!!

Stranger #2: Sure is. Hollernation is the shit!! They tend to get alittle handsey and crux too!!
