Gerwin is the most attractive man you will ever meet! Not only is he smoking on the outside, he has the warmest, kindest, most generous heart a man could have. Meet a Gerwin and you will instantly admire and be inspired by him. He has many ambitions in life and is very hardworking. He has a strong drive and is very determined and disciplined but will nevertheless make sure that he makes his family, friends and especially his S.O. feel like they are his top priority. Gerwin is quick to listen, slow to speak, and very understanding. He handles conflict well and does not have a short temper. He is extremely loyal and will never make you doubt or hesitate otherwise. Boffin
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
