A hipster devoted to Progressive Rock and associated music. (jazz, jam, post-rock, progressive metal, etc.)

Their music may include the likes of Yes, King Crimson, Geneis, Pink Floyd or more modern bands such as Porcupine Tree or Dream Theater.

The name is a portmanteau of hipster and Robert Fripp. Fripp is the leader of the first Progressive Rock band ever: King Crimson.

Being a frippster is a paradox considering the former massive popularity of progressive rock. But since it is starting to come back into the limelight with acts such as The Mars Volta and Dream Theater, these hipsters relish saying they liked it before it was cool...
again.

A Puppet-Friend, that is a home made puppet, depicting a newly imagined character. It is never a home made version of a licensed character, such as Elmo or Miss Piggy. French slang, which translated, means "bull's fashion" but basically equates to "hyper trendy" or overly trendy. Used when a person wishes to express distaste at the latest fashion trend/fad, because it seems that everyone has a certain item of clothing or is wearing it. This term is most frequently heard in Paris but is slowly spreading to other parts of France.

Glippy

A slang term for GLP-1 medications(like Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, etc.), usually referring to their appetite-killing, weight-loss, or “I forgot to eat” effects rather than the medical details.

Usage:
* Often casual, ironic, or meme-y
* Can imply effortless weight loss, suppressed hunger, or being “powered by pharmaceuticals”

Notes:
Not a brand name—just shorthand for the whole GLP-1 wave. Frequently shows up in online jokes, gym talk, and group chats where people pretend they’re *totally* doing it naturally.
