A quaint way of expressing frustration while sounding silly and British. Also a euphemism for more offensive words.

1-"I dropped my vodka on myself! Funkernickels!"
2-"...'funkernickel' isn't a word, dumbass."
1-"It is too! It's totally in the Urban Dictionary!"
2-"Yeah, well... you look like you pissed yourself!"
