In a desire to illicit admiration, artificial humility projected by someone who secretly craves to be a baller, but has accepted their fate to always be tightwad.

My sister’s fauxmility is annoying—she posts pics of her kids in ratchet clothes to act like they struggle, but owns like 10 rent houses!

Fake reality shows on TV. Think Survivor, American Idol, Dancing with the Stars. How these shows are supposed to be real is beyond me.

My wife was watching that crap fauxality show Dancing with the Stars the other day.

People who you grew up or with or know that you called aunt or uncle or cousin or some other family relation name when they're are not a blood or lawfully related person.

Well I mean, she's not my "real" cousin, we're not related in any way by blood or marriage. You know, she's fauxmily, so it's not weird that we made out.

My fauxtilitarian electric pickup supposedly has a 450 mile range, but if I tow a boat or haul lumber it only goes 80 miles before the battery dies.
