fanfiction

I noticed most of the other definitions here completely trash fanfiction.

First, definition: Fanfiction is when someone takes either the story or characters (or both) of a certain piece of work, whether it be a novel, tv show, movie, etc, and create their own story based on it. Sometimes people will take characters from one movie and put them in another, which is called a cross-over.

Most people who bash fanfiction are not willing to look past the fact that it's based on something else to see that it could be worth reading IF you like the subject. If they don't like the subject, then obviously they are going to automatically dismiss the fanfiction.

It is true, however, that some fanfictions are rather poorly written and only a few hundred words, and it is also true that some people just write them so they can have their favorite characters have sex (lemon). But, if you take the time to find something decent, you can end up with a fanfiction story that is so close to the original piece of art, that you'd barely notice the difference.
Mary decided to write a fanfiction based on a story she had read. She liked the idea of two of the characters as a couple, but it wasn't in the original plot, so she twisted the story around a bit and evolved the characters so that it seemed as though they actually *could* have been together in the first place. (Good example, it's rare that someone does it perfectly but there are some out there)

Sue was so angry that her two favorite characters never got together that she wrote her own story in which the first thing they did was have sex and get married. (Bad example, but sadly sometimes true)

Cupcakes Fanfiction

The most fucked-up, mentally scarring fanfiction you will ever read. Also happens to be about My Little Pony. The plot:
Rainbow Dash goes to see her friend Pinkie Pie. Pinkie makes her eat a cupcake, which makes Rainbow fall asleep. When she wakes up, she's strapped down in Pinkie's basement (which is filled with other pony's body parts, made to look like they're at a party) Pinkie then proceeds to skin Rainbow's cutie mark off, cut off her wings, EAT PART OF RAINBOW'S LEG- etc. Rainbow eventually dies and Pinkie puts her in a cupcake.
I just read the Cupcakes Fanfiction. I will never eat a cupcake again without throwing up.

Downingtown East FanFic

Probably one of the edgiest, most disgusting, and most hilarious things to come out of Downingtown East High School. Written by two unknown 10th graders in October of 2017, the Fan fiction is about multiple teachers and Papa John. The fanfic is written as a parody of the Bible, starting off with the creation of the universe, promptly followed by various other stories written by different "Apostles." One main focus of the fanfic is Ms. L-------, a teacher that is almost universally hated by her students for her teaching methods. Most people see the writers as either gods on earth, or some of the most disgusting and depraved humans in the school.

One of the two creators was caught with the fan fiction on their district monitored Google Drive and was subsequently suspended for two days. By the time they returned from their suspension, the fan fiction had already been copied and shared with what felt like hundreds of people around the school. The spread of this fucking awful fan fiction seems to be mainly because of someone who had got hold of the fanfic early and read it allowed in the Band Locker-room.

And now for an excerpt from the Fan Fiction so those unacquainted with its contents will be able to understand how disgusting it is.

"He then felt another tentacle slide in behind him, its slime acting as a lube to relax Papa’s loose anus. This tentacle then began to move out, and back in as Papa screamed in pain and pleasure. “It hurts so much,” he said, “But I love it.”
Boy 1: Have you read the new chapter someone added to the Downingtown East FanFic?
Boy 2: I haven't, and I don't think I want to...
Boy 1: You do you, but if you want to read it with me you can find me in the bathroom vomiting.

murderhobo

In a tabletop game, a murderhobo is a player who murders NPCs indiscriminately. This is normally derogatory, referring to a player who totally ignores quests, dialog, backstory, trade, world building etc.

The term is most common with Dungeons and Dragons, but it can be applied to most RPGs where the player is allowed to kill most quest-giving NPCs and NPC traders. E.g. Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Divinity original sin.
DM: The sad little orphan girl tugs at Steve's trenchcoat to get his attention, and ask for help saving her pet dog from...
Steve: I'd like to roll a strength check against strangling the orphan.
Dave: I call dibs on the dog.
DM: You murderhobos disgust me.

In sales terms, a whale is a prospect that is significantly larger than an organization’s average customer.

Whales are large and extremely difficult to close. Due to their immense size, they are highly sought-after.

A whale is typically identified at first by a whale hunter on the sales team, but often requires cross-discipline participation in order to close; this includes assistance from operations, engineering, creative, client success, and business development teams.
"Shit...the sales director chewed me out on the sales call this morning. He's totally pissed that I have nothing in my pipeline. I've been focused on this one whale for so long that I haven't had time to prospect for normal-sized deals."

God Shot

A chance happening with profound meaning, an unexpected blessing, a "sign".
Dr. Drew on Celebrity Rehab said "All of a sudden what had been just another Hollywood proposal became for him an unexpected blessing, an opportunity for growth. In drug recovery language, that's called a "God shot."
