Exterminate

Exterminate is the sound a Dalek makes before it fires its Extermination Ray. So far, only two things have negated its effect: a fully-functional forcefield powered by an extrapolater; the Time And Relative Dimensions In Space, directed through Rose.

EXTERMINATE

/ikˈstərməˌnāt/
verb

A word synonymous with kill or eradicate, EXTERMINATE is often used in generic sci-fi TV shows and movies by faceless robotic soldiers in an effort to make them sound much more dangerous than an organic foot soldier, often times failing and making the generic sci-fi media even more generic. The only exception appears to be the Daleks from Doctor Who, who manage to live up to their lust for destruction of all life in the universe.
