Equanimarian
noun
A person who maintains internal equilibrium while moving through external turbulence.
Not detached.
Not passive.
Not argumentative.
The Equanimarian does not react on cue.
Does not escalate to prove a point.
Does not chase agreement.
They introduce slight disturbance—
a phrase, a question, a presence—
then continue on their way.
They are often mistaken for cold, aloof, or contrarian.
In truth, they are simply unhooked.
Traits:
Speaks minimally but precisely.
Does not defend every statement.
Observes reaction without absorbing it.
Moves like water over stone—altering shape without losing form.
Creates riffles, not floods.
Example:
“He said ‘water has memory’ and kept walking. Total Equanimarian.”
