Distalgia 

A feeling of longing or nostalgia for something that has never existed and/or could never exist in the first place.
I feel distalgia when I listen to old bands, even though I wasn't alive when they were popular.

I felt distalgic in an old style coffee shop, though I'd never been to one before.

I feel distalgia when I think of a life in the country, but I have never lived far from a city.
