Dennis Hastert

The third most powerful man in America; the longest-serving Republican Speaker of the House of Representatives in the history of the United States; a former high school teacher and coach; a genuine human being known for his straight-talk and Midwestern values; works hard during the week in Washington and comes home during the weekend like most Americans, unlike run-of-the-mill politicians who aren't in touch with their constituents or reality since they spend all their time in Washington, DC.

Dennis Hastert

1. A man who thought it was more important for Republicans to win in Florida than it was to protect underage Congressional Pages from being preyed upon by former Rep. Mark Foley.

2. A man who puts his own party ahead of his country.

3. A man who is an enabler.
Dennis Hastert did nothing when people came to him expressing concerns about Mark Foley sending inappropriate emails to Congressional Pages.

Dennis Hastert

The current house speaker (R-Ill). Not previously defined in the Urban Dictionary since he is generally such a quiet and un-noticed political entity. Unlike such prior falmboyant figures as Newt Gingrich and other republican gems who have crashed and burned, he accomplishes approximately as much without being noticed...a rather huge accomplishment in the field of politics.

J. Dennis Hastert

Referring to the 51st speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, John Dennis Hastert. He was also a congressman out of the 14 district of Illinois in the 80s. Before that in in 60s and 70s, Hastert was a history teacher, and wrestling coach. Before his indictment for violating federal banking laws to cover up "prior misconduct" in 2015, Hastert was well respected and beloved. He was also the longest GOP speaker in United States history serving from 1999-2007, his service as a congressman in Illinois 14th congressional district lasted from 1987-2007.

funiosity

The art of being peculiar, but in an amusing fashion.
"Wow, look at that dog running on three legs"

A toe rag was originally a foot wrapping used, since mediaeval times up until the mid-nineteenth century, to protect the foot from chafing by boots or shoes. As these were, quite literally, rags they weren’t usually washed, and so with use they became very smelly until they were thrown away. Because of the similarity in smell, toe rag also became the name applied to dried, salted cod or other things with a strong, unpleasant, fishy smell. It didn’t take that long before the name was applied to someone who was an obnoxious, unpleasant OIC.
1 “Socks! Those aren’t socks you smelly git, they’re toe rags!”
2 “What have you been cooking? Smells like toe rag!”
3 “I can smell ‘er fanny from ‘ere, proper toe rag.”
4 That Heale Malcolm is a right toe rag.

Eternity leave

When some resigns or retires from a job, they are on "eternity leave". This can also refer to someone who has passed away, especially someone who worked somewhere for a long time, retired/resigned, then passed away later.
Oh I'm sorry, you didn't know that Kelly is on eternity leave? She resigned and moved to Hawaii!

With regrets I would like to inform you that my boss is officially on eternity leave. I will never see or hear them again. Ever.
