A contrary state of mind created in most people by announcements that some countries have now adopted virtual currencies like Bitcoin. They stand by their coinviction that the ages old universal adoption of physical coinage and paper currency is the only practical way to store wealth...they can see it will be very difficult in a post-nuclear war world to find Internet access to buy bread and clean water. Even the tiniest gold coin can BUY something when the lights go out.
Despite an established virtual currency like Bitcoin making early adopters into undeserving millionaires, Bob shared a common coinviction with billions of people that ALL money must exist as a physical reality to be of any value in a world without electricity and an Internet and banks.
