Christmas Crash

The act of falling asleep abruptly (crashing) on the day of Christmas, usually in the evening. This may be due to a variety of reasons, namely: over eating at the family dinner, drinking excessive amounts of alcohol, exhaustion from dealing with family, staying up late on Christmas Eve and waking up early on Christmas (excitement), or just to buy yourself some me time away from the family. The Christmas Crash usually occurs between 8 and 12 hours after waking up on Christmas morning. The slumber may carry over into the night's sleep, causing you to have a disturbed sleeping schedule for a few days.
I think I suffered the Christmas Crash last Christmas...there are pictures of me sleeping on the couch with my stocking in hand while everyone else enjoyed their Christmas.

Christmas Crashing

Similar to party crashing and wedding crashing, Christmas crashing is when guests show up unexpectedly to partake of the holidays with another family.
(knock knock knock on the door, Dad gets up and walks over, opens)
Mr. Focke: Hey there! We were out for a drive and our car broke down, right in front of your house! I'm really sorry for the inconvenience, I'm just letting you know that when my uncle Jed gets here, we'll have our car out of here as soon as we can get it fixed!
Mrs. Focke: (put-on shivering voice) I really hope we're not intruding or anything, I'm so so sorry about this!
Dad: Hey, aren't you the Fockes from church? Hey, come right inside - we don't want you to freeze out there! We're just getting started with the presents, and there's still some cinnamon rolls and coffee left over from breakfast. Make yourself at home!
Mom: (aside so the guests can't hear) Honey... We live in a cul-de-sac...
Dad: Yes, I know...
Mom: They're Christmas crashing.

Christmas Crashing

Used to describe the after-effect of Christmas, or the Holidays in general: 12 Days of Hanukkah/Christmas, etc. is usually a busy time, very exciting, and enjoyable. By the end of the celebrations (The night of Christmas Day/Dec. 26th) you feel exhausted and overwhelmed. People are usually groggy, lethargic, and almost depressed from exhaustion.
I love Christmas. But all the celebrating, visiting with family, and celebrating...I'm Christmas Crashing

Joe 1: What are you doing for New Years?
Joe 2: I'll be in rehab.
Joe 1: Why?
Joe 2: I'm Christmas Crashing hard this year. The idea of going out for a drive is exhausting.

More from Urban Dictionary
West Midlands slang word for rockers, bikers, greasers etc. In the late 1980s it was used by the UK music press to refer to a specific scene centered around the bands Pop Will Eat Itself and Crazyhead. The term never found favour with readers of 'the inkies' (Sounds, Melody Maker and the still extant NME) and was soon dropped. Now often used in predominantly working-class areas of the midlands and the north to mean someone who listens to rock-derived music and/or dresses in a manner that suggests they affiliate themselves with rock music of some kind.
Some grebo passed with Sabbath playing on his stereo.
The Poppies are at no. 17? God, a grebo band in the charts!
They're playing nu-metal now, bloody grebos!
