When you make an agreement and everything is set in stone, and then somehow someway you end up agreeing to something totally different, but you have no idea what you actually agreed to.
I went to the dealership to buy this new car but somehow I got Calhouned and now I own a jet ski somehow.

The bad-ass security guard in Half Life 1 & 2. Barney Calhoun is the playable character in Half-Life: Blue Shift, and a major character in Half-Life 2 as well as Episode One. Michael Shapiro provided Barney's voice in the games of the Half-Life series. Scott Lynch, Valve Software's Chief Operating Officer, lent his face to the game for use in-game as Barney in Half-Life 2.

A "No Surprises Wedding," or NSW, is a wedding invitation designation that tells attendees that there can be no unplanned announcements, engagements, events or speeches at the wedding - all actions must be pre-approved by the couple. Anyone who performs an unapproved "surprise" will be asked to leave the wedding early.
