basicified

The opposite of acidified, i.e to have made basic.

Having added an excess amount of base to a solution to increase its pH beyond a neutral pH of 7. Adding excess acid will decrease the pH below 7. This will acidify the solution.

I basicified the water by adding a base to it. The pH of the solution is now greater than 7 and is basic or alkaline.
