Bocchi The Rock! is a Japanese four-panel manga series written and illustrated by Aki Hamaji. It has been serialized in Houbunsha’s seinen manga magazine Manga Time Kirara Max since December 2017. The story follows Hitori “Bocchi” Gotou, a shy and socially anxious high school student who dreams of being in a band. She is recruited to be the guitarist of a group looking to make it big, and she realizes her dream may be able to be fulfilled and come true.

Striver
The striver is an interesting phenomenon that is seen across college campuses. In essence, the striver is an over-achiever who comes from a working or middle class family. He may be an immigrant. He may have been a slacker in HS who was "born again" into an academic wunderkind. Or he may just be an over-achiever who is keeping at it.
