This is a largely unknown process whereby one object can be transformed into a somewhat related object. It is not unlike alchemy.

Limes can be transformed to lemons through the little known process of applification.

apply fic 

a regular story, except you apply to become one of the author's characters. you kind of make an OC for the author. if they like him/her enough, they'll put them in their story. they'll probably give you an app, cheatsheet, and plotlines which you can base your character off of. then you just fill in the app and you're set!

The act of simplifying a tool or item to the point where it is no longer practical to use. This word originates from the belief that Apple often creates impractically minimalist software.

The slimming down of BitBucket was an example of applification.
