Get the amaros mug.Amarog (or Amarok) is the name of a gigantic wolf in Inuit mythology. It is said to hunt down and devour anyone foolish enough to hunt alone at night. Unlike real wolves who hunt in packs, Amarog hunts alone. It is sometimes considered equivalent to the waheela of cryptozoology.

Like an Amarok, members of the society hunt alone, but come together in acts of carousing, which occur before the Cambridge night life begins. They are amongst the most influential members of the university, and acceptance into the society is invitation only, which occurring in a special ceremony in Lent term
