Alteans is an alien species in the animated TV-series "Voltron: Legendary Defender" (2016). Alteans look simialar to humans, but with colorful markings under their eyes, pointy ears and colorful pupils. They are also able to change their height and skintone.
Alteans have a very advansed civilization with complex technology powered by a material called quintessence. Their whole planet, Altea got destroyed by the galra, leaving only a few survivors.
