Alvaro
The most gorgeous man to walk the face of the Earth. When you look at him, you'll be like "damn, how is he real?" He's good at tolerating his annoying friends though he sighs at them sometimes (or goes on Do Not Disturb). He loves spilling tea, but swears to always tell the truth while doing so. Though he's a bit obsessed with himself sometimes (or most of the time), is one of the nicest guys you could ever know. If you find an Alvaro, go on a pudding date with him sometime. Boffin
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expertâs specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be âeggheadâ, âsquintâ, or âgeek.â
Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or âbafflingâ to the common person.
