Kana

A Japanese visual kei artist, famous for her rather unique singing voice, colorful "gothic lolita" fashion, and an insane obsession with pandas. Her singing vocals are fairly unpredictable -- it can jump from harsh and screechy to melodic and cute in a span of seconds. Surprisingly, her speaking voice is a complete contrast from this; it is high-pitched, and very child-like.

Kana's full albums include "Doubutsu-teki Ningen" ("Humanity of Animals"), "Kikei-teki Ningen" ("Humanity of Machines"), "Ningen-teki Ningen" ("Humanity of Humanity"), and "Spade". "Spade" was released in early 2005.

Kana also occasionally works as a model for various gothic fashion magazines, such as The Gothic And Lolita Bible. She offers hand-crafted dolls and goods on her official website.

Ratfucker

Brought to public attention by Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein in the book on the fall of Richard Nixon, All The President’s Men, ratfucker was Nixon’s term for a political operative who sows chaos among opponents; an agent provocateur. It is thought to have originated among campus political rivalries at USC, and seems to have some usage in the US military.

Along with Nixon’s other ratfuckers, Roger Stone caused fights at otherwise peaceful Democratic Party protests to generate a false narrative that the Democrats were violent and dangerous.

Term used to describe someone who is a mix of both rural (country) and urban (metropolitan) lifestyles/upbringings. He/she is typically equally comfortable in both settings and is able to seamlessly slip back and forth between the two, appreciating the characteristics of each.
