pseudo-noir

The culture and practice of pretending to be dark, scary, or mysterious. These people are often very much unlike what they attempt to be, and are, in fact, friendly, intelligent people who have clung to a stereotype that suits them. See: pseudo-punk, pseudo-goth, and emo.
1>My dear sweet lord. Johnny used to be so friendly. Now all he does is sit at the back of the cafe in his pseudo-noir clothes and whine about everything.

2>Wanna go over and say hi?

1>No... just, no. That whiny b-tard can be alone if he can't accept who and what he really is. =p

pseudokudos

An insincere congratulations offered out of social obligation to someone who has made a terribly unwise, life-altering decision. Pseudokudos usually implies keeping judgement to oneself while feigning sincerity and pretending that a wonderful thing has occurred.

A combination of 'pseudo' and 'kudos.'
"He knocked up the girl he was about to break up with. Rather than telling him what an idiot he was, I kept my opinion to myself and gave him pseudokudos on the new baby."

Pseudo-Liberal

A fringe group of people that may claim to support liberal ideologies of equality, individual rights and freedom, but in reality do not, or that may be incorrectly classified as liberals by others.

This includes the Neo-Feminist movement and others that are often portrayed as the extreme left, thus being used by conservative media to paint inaccurate stereotypes of liberals. In reality, these people have more in common with the Neo-Nazi movement than actual Liberals.
