Young gripper

The term, as made popular by social media personality "Mr Hotspot", refers to any sandwich of any kind or cheesesteak-like sandwich which is undeniably very delicious, or "delicioso" as he often says. Both distinctions are absolutely mandatory & required to qualify as a "young gripper": it must be a sandwich or handheld sandwich-like food, & it must be verifiably delicious.

Magnus Von Grapple

The most kickass robot ever! It is a boss in the game Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. It is controlled by Lord Crump, one of the antagonists in the game. It is followed by Magnus Von Grapple 2.0, an even more kickass robot. Of course, Mario defeats both, but not without some sweet fighting!

On The Gripping Hand

A ternary logic used when you are dealing with three equally unpleasant alternatives rather than two; the third (gripping) hand being dominant or determinative. Expression common among sci fi geeks and computer people.

From a science fiction novel entitled "The Mote In God's Eye" where an intelligent alien race has evolved with two minor arms (with fine fingers for work) on their right and one larger (gripping) arm with three strong fingers on their left.

On the one hand, Obama's a knucklehead and I can't stand him. On the other hand, he still has a lot of people who thinks he walks on water. On the gripping hand, we only have to put up with him for two more years, so we shouldn't bother to try to impeach him.

grep

Grep is a UNIX/LINUX utility that searches the named input FILE/s for lines containing a match to the
given PATTERN.

dmesg | grep -i 'usb'

here the dmesg command is piped through grep to extract any patterned data matching 'usb'. The -i switch is used to tell grep to ignore the case of the letters 'usb'.
