sitting ovation

When you want to give someone a standing ovation, but are too lazy to actually stand...most sitting ovations consist of people sitting, clapping, and clarifying that they are indeed giving a deserving person a sitting ovation, not just sitting and clapping; also called a sitting o.

lazy dude: encore, encore (claps hands while sitting)
rick: thanks, but your clapping is annoying.
lazy dude: dude I'm giving you a sitting ovation, you should be more appreciative of my support.

fence sitting

Fence sitting, sitting on the fence, sitting on a fence, are all terms for someone who refuses to make a decision. Usually it describes someone who will not take a stand on two very defined and clearly opposing options/opinions. This can be both good and bad.

Clair was angry that Mandy occasionally used drugs; Mandy thought drug use should be legal. Angela was neither for nor against it, and sat on the fence about it, instead trying to calm her friends down.

The politician, when questioned on abortion, sat on the fence, never giving a clear opinion; he was afraid of losing support from the right or the left.

n. A Chicagoland slang for mid-grade marijuana. It is often concidered as "failed" dank and should contain minimal seed count. The name refers to the amount for it is sold for: 30 dollars an eighth or 60 dollars a quarter.
