Nickname for Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Also the name of their newly renamed minor league baseball team because of the dash in between Winston and Salem and apparently it represents speed. Pretty lame place.

College Student: "Where are you going for break?"

on the dash

refers to the dashboard of a car; an associated number indicates the total amount paid for a vehicle including any modifications made (e.g. the price of the car, rims, stereo, engine upgrade, etc.)

think i wont pull up in somethin' with 200 on the dash....
i've got 125 on the dash...

both instances used so as to say, my car is worth, for example, $200,000 or $125,000 respectively

Grill Dash

when you have a veggie burger or something under the grill, and you wander back to the computer and get hooked on ebay or msn and forget what you are cooking. Suddenly theres that unmistakeable burning charcoal smell and then you suddenly remember you were grilling something and have a mad dash to the grill to be presented with something black and frazzled.
