I swear to god, he's lost it. Last night, my roommate was screaming and ranting, Alex Jones style in the discord chat about how furries are apparently causing the downfall of western civilization. I think he's starting to develop Furry Derangement Syndrome.

Prior to the release of Volume 1 of season 5, the actor playing Derek received a lot of hate for his character, but Derek very quickly became a fan favorite. At first he was known as Dipshit Derek, as the kids in his class called him that because he was rude to them a lot. After the gang "recruits" Derek because they think Vecna is targeting him, they employ him to go undercover in a military base to rescue the rest of the kids in his class whom Vecna is targeting. After Derek joined the mission, his nickname changed from Dipshit Derek to Delightful Derek, and we love that for him. Derek's character has been absolutely amazing so far, and we expect even more iconic scenes to come from him in the rest of season 5.
