prom in the uk

very very overrated (overrated is an understatement)

why I dont want to go...

1- my year is going to be there (very judgemental people - also they are all assholes)
2- the money involved (I'm really not rich)

3- everybody is very obsessed and I don't have the energy to try that hard for a dance

4- dancing is boring

5- there's no alcohol - i just want to get black-out drunk
6- no date (sadly - though did i mention everyone in my year are assholes)
7- i KNOW i will embarrass myself
8- #introvert

person 1: omg can we go to this prom shop to choose dresses?!
person 2: let's rent an expensive limo!
person 3: I'm going to work out and diet every day so i look good for prom!
person 4: I love prom in the uk!!

Examples:

(Internet)=Interconnected + Network
(Brunch)= Breakfast + Lunch
(Moped)= Motor + Pedal
(Bash)= Bang + Smash

Most people realize "Brunch" is a portmanteaus, but what about "Internet?"
