Effing A

1. Even though it's real meaning is "fucking ass", it is mostly used when telling someone "Damn right"

2. It is also used to tell someone that you did not just get what they said, but you're pretending to get it. This would be used with a questioning tone of voice.

3. Also, it can be used to diss someone. In this case, "effing a" would mean "fucking asshole". While saying this, it could aslo mean "what the hell" at the same time.

4. The term really started being used after it was on the movie "Dodgeball".

1. Girl,"I want you to fuck me."
Guy,"Effing a!"

2. Girl,"I was so like, oh my gosh, awesome at that thing a couple days ago and like it was so just ya."
Guy,"Effing a?"

3. Guy 1,"haha, I did your girlfriend last night hommie."
Guy 2,"dude, effing a."

4. Cotton,"That was sure amazing!"
Pepper,"Effing a Cotton, effing a!"

to steal, generally opportunistically, that is, to take everything that isn't nailed down as soon as the owner has his/her/its (possibly proverbial) back turned; etymology: Named for the Chicago suburb of Elgin, Illinois (see other entries for "elgin"), part of Illinois' "Coalition of Crime": Aurora, Decatur, East St. Louis, and Elgin.

Loquo: We left the hotel with more bags of sh*t than we came in with. The cleaning lady came in, and the room was already clean. LOL, man we elgin-ed everything!

DP: Did you elgin the free towels down at the pool?

Loquo: Naw, man, I forgot. Next time, though!

DP: Man, I wheeled the whole cart outside; threw it in the truck; passed out towels like beers, when I got back to campus.

Elgin

Small obscure rural town located near South Carolina's capital city of Columbia punctuated by random single-wide trailer homes. The one grocery store is like a gross-you-out food oddity museum for out-of-towners, stocked full with delicious redneck delights such as pork brains, pork snouts, pork tongues, fatback and chitlins in family sized packs. The local social life revolves around the post office as everyone in town stops by for a postage stamp on a daily basis. The town is proud of its history and recently celebrated a centennial and purchased a pretty neat looking town clock. But if you drive through looking for anything historical, you'll be hard pressed to find more than a charming old shack or two.
