scunder

Scunder is a word used in Northern Ireland. It is usually used in the past tense 'scundered' as an adjective, although similar in sound to the Scottish 'scunnert' it has its own specific meanning. A neat little phrase sums it up, 'hoisted by your own petard' It is often a personal retort, "That's you totally scundered", perhaps by some sly plan that has backfired.

He though he was being the smart one but now it's him that's totally scundered!

A name for Closed Circuit Television Systems (CCTV). This was coined by Stephen Fry on his podcast "Stephen Fry's Podgrams" to give CCTV a more ugly and subversive name.

Scunjab

A Scunjab is basicly another name for a scunner, a ugly little scruffy person, often low on money, goes round asking to lend off other people, this money dosent usualy get payed back in time, or dosent get payed back at all. a scunner also may be found walking around the streets at the age of 16, with her child, and no suprises, she isnt too sure who the father is.
