An older woman (40+) who dresses, behaves and actually believes she is in the same league of 20 & 30 somethings. Even to the point of acting like a young hoe. Her body may be a size 5, but her freakin' face looks beat!

Look at that cougar skank heading for the junior's department. Her body may say maiden, but her mug says crone.

A social phenomenon where older women are accepted and encouraged to prowl for much younger men. There are certain social expectations by which the cougar must adhere to, certain norms, customs, and ideologies. Individuals must have skills and habits necessary to participate within their own society, a.e alimony, facelifts, and a cougar pack to name a few. The target must always be young men that are close to children's age and more than willing to participate in the game. The phenomenon is complete when the cub is snatched and taken back to her den.

Lagoon Cougar

A middle aged woman that would be defined as a cougar but is not attractive. In fact she is as ugly as a lagoon creature.

The lagoon cougar effect is dulled by alcohol intake. As the alcohol wears off and a hang over sets in the effect is intensified.

"I was having a great time last night had a few shots, a couple of beers and I was picked up by a horny middle aged woman. When I woke up in the morning I was in bed with a lagoon cougar."

Any woman in the Cougar age range (40 something) that is attracted to younger men, but is not actively 'hunting' them. Instead she simply admires and desires from a distance.
