Nostalgia tax

Price gouging of classic gaming consoles such as the Nintendo 64, Sega Genesis and the Super Nintendo and other classic items based on the fact they have been discontinued long ago by the manufacturer. The spike in price varies by the seller. This is most often done by retro video game stores.

Similar to the term Drift Tax on the Nissan 240sx

John: You should go to your local flee market, you can get them for reasonable prices there and avoid that pesky nostalgia tax.
