When a guy is in a relationship with a girl and he doesn't hit her and due to his refrain the relationship doesn't work out.

Tim what's so crushed over breaking up with Kelly he just didn't understand what went wrong in their relationship, confiding in a friend he told him he loved her he never hit her. Tim's friend told him, ' that's the reason you guys never worked out, you pitched a no-hitter."

Any form of growling that sounds high-pitched.

The late Chuck Schuldiner (former frontman of one of the death metal pioneers Death) was known for usually using high-pitched growling in some of Death's music (this can be heard on Death's final album The Sound of Perseverance, especially on their cover of Judas Priest's Painkiller).
