Windows rot

Windows rot is a colloquialism encapsulating the belief that computers using various versions of the Microsoft Windows operating system suffer incremental and inevitable degradation of responsiveness and performance over time.

Windows users complain about having to reinstall their operating system when suffering Windows rot, because they are are unable or unwilling to invest in the time sink of many frivolous tasks necessary to maintain a healthy system.

Windows Vista

A new version of Windows from Microsoft that looked good in development, and still looks good now. Unfortunately, that's the only improvement. The new Microsoft office that can come with some versions of Vista is terrible and difficult to use. It also oftentimes causes the computer to lag, a lot.

The last flaw I am going to point out (Although this is my majority-supported opinion) is that the security is so up tight that there is hardly anything you can run on Vista without the computer asking for permission to run it, even if it is something from Microsoft. If you want to ask me, stay with Windows XP.

Guy #1: I just got Windows Vista. It lags like crazy.

Guy #2: Sorry about that. So, what's the good news?

Guy #1: I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Geico!

Windows 98.2

Another name for Windows 98 Second Edition (abbreviated Windows 98 SE). Windows 98 Second Edition was a major improvement to the original Windows 98 and included a number of bug fixes and new features. Unlike Service Packs which are free and can be downloaded directly from the Microsoft website, this was a completely different operating system than Windows 98 and had to be purchased separately.

Windows 98 Second Edition (aka Windows 98.2) was critically acclaimed at its launch. It is a worthwhile upgrade if you are running Windows 3.1, Windows 95, and Windows 98.

Windows 8

The only Windows operating system that is both less capable than Vista and Mac OS X. It "runs" better than many other versions of Windows, which was achieved by removing the capability of using applications.

After a fan threatened to say the name "Steve Jobs", Bill Gates released Windows 8.1, which restored the ability to download apps and the Desktop, although apps still did not actually do anything)

There is a legend that more information about this operating system may be located under Bill Gates' solid gold toilet in Redmond, but no one remembers any of this information.

windows 10 except it’s got less functionality it runs worse it has more bugs it steals even more of ur data and it looks like shit.

did i mention it only runs on semi recent hardware when windows 10 could run on a fucking pentium 4
