The level of forgetfulness has been almost invariably found in proportion to the degree of one´s fear of death or serious illness brought on by the pandemic.

I know that I didn´t vote for Trump during the pandemic, but my acute CovidBrain made me forget most of what happended to the lead up to the election. I can´t remember a lot of the things I now read about Trump being such a dick during this time.
