Allison

This name has two or three etymologies. (1) Allison and all its variations are from, ‘Alicen or Alis (Old French and Norman French: Aalis and Aliz),’ a feminine French diminutive of, ‘Alice.’ Alice and its variations represents the short form of “Adelais”, which is derived from the Germanic name Adalhaid/Adalhaidis, composed of two elements: “aþalaz” (noble, nobleman, aristocratic, eminent, glorious, excellent) plus “haiduz” (kind, sort, appearance, personality, character, manner, way). (2) However, the name is also derived from: as a Masculine English matronymic meaning, “Son of Alice.” (3) Alice derived from the Greek, “Aletheia,” meaning, “truth.” Depending on etymology, the name Allison and its other variations can either mean, “Noble kind/Sort, Aristocratic Kind/Sort, Glorious Kind/Sort/Appearance, Excellent Character or Truth.”

Allison is a nice and happy girl (most of the time) she has been through a lot of sh*t but always gets back up.
