Originated in 2021 during the Corona Virus pandemic. A Bloomberg reporter Tim Culpan wrote a piece on the state of Taiwan's epidemic, titled "Sexy Tea, the Lion King and Taiwan's Lost Innocence". This report with an interesting play in the title; described a past president of a well-known club named Lion Club International visiting such an establishment, and contracting COVID in the process.
