A large, online encyclopedia. Since it is publicly edited, do not site it in a paper's bibliography, it does not count as a source. It is, however, a great place to get the background on your subject, and a great place to get links and references to reputable sites.
For my paper on the 1960's, I started at wikipedia and ended up at a reliable site that really helped me out.

Whenever you make a how-to article somebody will edit it and make your article you took a lot of time to write dumb so you edit it back to what you wrote but then they edit it again. A lot of times they have bad grammer and write stupid stuff in your article so all you want to do is grab them by the neck and bash their head into every object in the room you're in and kill them.
Bob wrote a new wikiHow article but some dude called Jim that has a user page that is all screwy looking that practically screams he's an HTML noob took off everything Bob took the time to write and added retarded stuff so Bob edited it back to what he wrote but then Jim the noob did the same thing again.

The object of Wikipedia is to make as many edits as possible, as you quest through from the most simple low level articles on insects and bovines to vastly complex articles on the nature of the universe. The final challenge created by the moderators is an article on Wikipedia itself.
'Powerleveling' is a serious problem in Wikipedia, leading to many arguments over comma placement, spelling, and whether 42 really is the answer to life the universe and everything.
Countless lives have been ruined by Wikipedia; as players, or 'editors' as they call themselves, neglect their families and friends.
Of course wikipedia can benefit lives as well. Many uneducated teenagers see Wikipedia as 'leet hax' which they can use to circumvent study, where they are secretly being tricked into reading an encyclopedia. Contrary to unpopular belief, Wikipedia is technically an encyclopedia, although it it edited many millions of extra times.
